Futsal, Fashion Shows & More Unfortunate Events
3/15/2015The past three weeks has been super hectic for me. The moment I landed home, there was no rest for me. Everyday, I had futsal practice and classes. The tournament IIUM Sports Carnival ended last night with my team, Mahallah Nusaibah, placing third. Alhamdulillah, after our hard-work, we improved from the last time by one placing.
I also had the most gut-wrenching presentation in PIL and (not so scary) in Usul Fiqh II. I was nervous especially for PIL because the text book we refer to is written by Prof. Ghafur, my lecturer. I was not as prepared as I should have been because when you leave for classes at 8AM and come back after futsal at 1AM, you tend to sleep instead of doing research.
But, of course, in between classes and futsal, I do everything else. Like last Saturday, I went to District 21 at IOI City Mall. Friday, I had an assessment with 1MDB. To be honest, this has been the busiest weeks of this semester but it doesn't seem like it's going to slow down.
Last Thursday, I was invited to SOFAT Graduation Fashion Show 2015 at Black Box, Publika by super talented graduating student, Ros Haziqqah.
I was all ready to head for the event when I packed my bags the night before. However, my bag was stolen and my make-up bag and galaxy top is now...gone. I had to skip futsal practice (my clothes for futsal were in there as well) to get ready for the event at home. There goes my make-up set which were mostly from the UK and cannot be found in Malaysia. But it's okay. I guess I need to go shop now. Any recommendations?
For this event, I invited my childhood friends, Nasyim and Eleena. They are both into fashion and I just love being in their company. Since it's a fellow friend's show, a lot of my UIA friends were there as well.
The show was fun to watch! There were 5 students showcasing and here are my personal favourites:

My absolute fav would be the structured drape skirt. It took her two weeks to finish it, I heard. But a job well done it certainly was! I am currently trying to get inspired for my Raya look this year. Hmmm.
After the show, they had some light buffet so it was picture time for us!
