The Long Hiatus: Stepping into the Legal World

6/17/2015

Salam my dear readers and happy fasting!

I know I have been MIA since end of May and I apologise for the long hiatus. Like I've said, two posts before, I am currently doing my practical in Law at a law firm in Ipoh, Perak. And I don't have my DSLR with me when I am here because my photographer is all the way in KL.

I'm going to be honest, it's not fun being in the legal world. It's work and files piling up on you.

I'm glad it's Ramadhan because I get to go home early by an hour. YAY!

How is your Ramadhan so far?

I'm so sleepy right now because I usually sleep early but because of Tarawih prayer last night, I slept later than usual. My colleagues had a hard time dragging their feet out of bed too. Haha.

I am looking forward to all the iftar 'parties' I'll be attending this Ramadhan. It's not really 'party' though, basically every few days, a family in the community I live in would host the iftar either at their homes (that can fit everyone for prayer) or the mosque/surau. We will eat and pray together until after Tarawih is finished. And every weekend, my father has invited me to join him to have iftar at orphanages and old folks home. I really love community service because I believe that we must share what we have in anyway we can.

"Wealth and children are [but] adornment of the worldly life. But the enduring good deeds are better to your Lord for reward and better for [one's] hope." [Al-Kahf:46]

What are you looking forward for this Ramadhan?

xoxo,
Sya.
